Our Story

The Escape Carotte adventure

From a clothing shop in Porto to the largest escape game in Corsica

The story begins in 2019, after a return to Corsica. Studies are over, a new chapter is being written, and I want to work in a field I love: escape rooms — those dark rooms that filled my weekends during my years on the mainland. At the time, I was a receptionist at a hotel, the Capo d'Orto in Porto, and while waiting for guests, I jotted down ideas for the room of my dreams. I already wanted stone walls like in aquariums, I wanted guests to dig in sand, and above all, I didn't want to give hints through walkie-talkies so as not to break the immersion! Today, even though I haven't yet found a way to get guests digging in sand, the magic still works in our pirate universe!

Boutique Tentation: a 150 m² shop left abandoned for years

The swimwear shop appears to have closed in 2008, though I found no documents to confirm this — no website or Facebook page left any trace. Luckily, I was able to recover this image from Google Earth. What was once a simple shop was about to become the stage for an extraordinary adventure, even if at the time I had no idea of the scale of the challenge that awaited me!
