General Terms and Conditions (GTC) – Escape Carotte

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) govern the contractual relationship between ESCAPE CAROTTE, whose legal information is as follows:

These GTC define the rights and obligations between ESCAPE CAROTTE and its customers.

ARTICLE 1 – CONCEPT

Escape Carotte is a real-life escape game concept designed and operated by ESCAPE CAROTTE SARL, a company with a share capital of €100, located at Porto Marine, 20150 Ota, Corsica, registered with the Ajaccio Trade and Companies Register under number 921 575 882.

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to any contract for the provision of a game room concluded between:

1. ESCAPE CAROTTE SARL, hereinafter referred to as "THE ORGANISER",
2. The users of the room, hereinafter referred to as "THE PARTICIPANTS", whether they booked themselves or are part of a team organised by a third party who made the booking, hereinafter referred to as "THE BOOKER".

These conditions apply to all bookings, whether made via the official Escape Carotte website (escape-carotte.fr), hereinafter referred to as "THE WEBSITE", or directly with THE ORGANISER's staff. The game room where the activity takes place is referred to as "THE ROOM", and the booked session is called "THE GAME SESSION".

THE ORGANISER reserves the right to modify all or part of these GTC as well as the content of THE WEBSITE at any time without prior notice. Any modification will be applicable as soon as it is published online or communicated to THE PARTICIPANTS.

Escape Carotte's GTC are available on THE WEBSITE and can be provided upon request to THE ORGANISER's staff.

ARTICLE 2 – USE OF THE ROOM

In accordance with the principle of the real-life escape game, ESCAPE CAROTTE SARL grants THE PARTICIPANTS the right to occupy THE ROOM for a maximum of 60 minutes. The sole purpose of occupying THE ROOM is to participate in A GAME SESSION organised by ESCAPE CAROTTE, as a team of 2 to 6 players maximum.

THE PARTICIPANTS accept that their time in THE ROOM shall not exceed 60 minutes, whether or not they have solved all the puzzles. They also accept that the game may end before 60 minutes if they solve all the puzzles more quickly. No price adjustment or compensation will be made in such cases.

Access to THE ROOM is subject to presentation of the booking confirmation email (received after payment), as well as proof of identity of THE PERSON who made the booking.

Age requirements:

• The minimum age to participate is 7 years old, accompanied by at least one adult per team.
• Players aged 15 and over may participate without a chaperone.
• ESCAPE CAROTTE reserves the right to request proof of identity if there is any doubt about a PARTICIPANT's age.

Accessibility:

• The game rooms are accessible to people with reduced mobility under certain conditions, but some specific areas of the escape game may present limitations. To ensure optimal immersion, the presence of at least one physically able player is recommended.
• The activity is not recommended for people suffering from epilepsy or sensory disorders.

THE PARTICIPANTS must use THE ROOM and its facilities appropriately and respect the condition of the premises. Any intentional damage or damage caused by misuse will be charged to THE BOOKER. THE ORGANISER reserves the right to interrupt A GAME SESSION if one or more PARTICIPANTS adopt behaviour deemed dangerous to other players, staff, or the integrity of the sets and equipment.

THE PARTICIPANTS also undertake to behave respectfully towards other players and Escape Carotte staff. No verbal or physical violence, intimidation or harassment will be tolerated. ESCAPE CAROTTE reserves the right to deny access to THE ROOM to any person:

• Whose behaviour is considered inappropriate (racist, sexist, homophobic or discriminatory as judged by staff).
• Under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

In such cases, no refund or compensation will be granted.

General rules:

• Food and drinks are strictly prohibited inside THE ROOM.
• To preserve the integrity of the game, no video or audio recording is permitted in THE ROOM. The use of devices such as mobile phones, cameras, Google Glass, or similar equipment is strictly forbidden. Any breach of this rule may result in the immediate termination of THE GAME SESSION for the entire team.

Finally, THE PARTICIPANTS undertake not to disclose, by any means whatsoever, the details of the puzzles or the game. Any disclosure, partial or total, would constitute a violation of ESCAPE CAROTTE's commercial interests.

ARTICLE 3 – BOOKING

Bookings must be made via the official website (escape-carotte.fr) or by phone at +33 7 84 92 92 84. A booking is considered confirmed upon receipt of payment.

ARTICLE 4 – PRICES AND PAYMENT

The prices applied by ESCAPE CAROTTE EURL are listed on the WEBSITE (under the "Booking" tab) and are also available upon request from Escape Carotte staff. Prices are expressed in euros (€), inclusive of all taxes, and apply to A GAME SESSION lasting 60 minutes.

The price is calculated based on the number of PARTICIPANTS per team (from 2 to 6 people maximum) and follows a sliding scale as follows:

• 2 players: €34/player (€68 total)
• 3 players: €28/player (€84 total)
• 4 players: €25/player (€100 total)
• 5 players: €23/player (€115 total)

The listed prices apply exclusively to standard bookings. Any additional service or specific request may be subject to supplementary billing, discussed and agreed by both parties.

4.1 – Price revisions
ESCAPE CAROTTE reserves the right to modify its prices at any time. THE PARTICIPANTS will pay the amount corresponding to the price in effect at the time of their booking, as indicated on THE WEBSITE.

4.2 – Special conditions
For corporate groups or specific events (e.g., team building, birthdays, stag/hen parties), special conditions may apply. These arrangements will be negotiated directly between ESCAPE CAROTTE and the relevant client.

4.3 – Payment
Full payment is due at the time of booking via the payment methods accepted on THE WEBSITE or by staff. No refund will be made in the event of a no-show.

ESCAPE CAROTTE guarantees full transparency on its prices and invites customers to regularly check the information available on THE WEBSITE for any updates or changes.

ARTICLE 5 – PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS

• Children aged 7 to 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
• Participants aged 15 and over may play without a chaperone.
• The activity is not recommended for children under 7 years old.
• The number of participants is limited to 6 people per session.

ARTICLE 6 – CANCELLATION AND MODIFICATION

Cancellations or modifications must be notified at least 12 hours before the scheduled session time. In the event of a no-show or late cancellation, no refund will be made.

ARTICLE 7 – PARTICIPANT LATENESS

Participants must arrive 15 minutes before the start of their session. Any delay of more than 15 minutes may result in a reduction of playing time or cancellation of the session without refund.

ARTICLE 8 – SAFETY

THE PARTICIPANTS undertake to comply with all safety instructions communicated by ESCAPE CAROTTE, whether written, posted on the premises, or given verbally by staff.

Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited inside Escape Carotte's premises, including in THE GAME ROOM.

Each PARTICIPANT must be aware of and comply with the safety instructions, particularly those relating to fire protection and emergency exits. Emergency exits are clearly marked and must remain clear at all times. Emergency exits must only be used in genuine emergencies requiring evacuation. Any misuse or improper opening of emergency exits may result in the costs being charged to THE BOOKER.

THE PARTICIPANTS also undertake not to bring onto the premises any objects that represent a danger, in particular:

1. Physically dangerous substances or objects (explosives, flammable materials, pressurised gas, sharp objects, etc.)
2. Substances or objects dangerous to health (toxic, irritant, corrosive, etc.).

These objects are in no way part of the game, and this prohibition will be reminded by staff before entering THE ROOM.

Furthermore, it is strictly forbidden to damage, inappropriately handle, or break any elements of the set or game. Any intentional damage or damage caused by misuse will be charged to THE BOOKER.

ARTICLE 9 – PHOTOS AND CAMERAS

Team photos may be taken before or after THE GAME SESSION by Escape Carotte staff. These photos may be used for promotional purposes, including on THE WEBSITE and on Escape Carotte's official social media (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, YouTube).

These photos may also be sent by email to THE BOOKER or THE PARTICIPANTS within a reasonable time after THE GAME SESSION. However, ESCAPE CAROTTE accepts no responsibility for the subsequent use or distribution of these photos by THE PARTICIPANTS or THE BOOKER.

Each ROOM is equipped with a video and audio surveillance system allowing staff to monitor THE GAME SESSION in real time. This system's sole purpose is to assist THE PARTICIPANTS if needed and to ensure their safety. It is expressly stated that this system does not record or retain any session data.

ARTICLE 11 – PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

Customers' personal data collected during booking are processed in accordance with applicable regulations (GDPR). This data will only be used in the context of the activity and will not be passed on to third parties.

ARTICLE 12 – DISPUTES AND APPLICABLE LAW

These GTC are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties undertake to seek an amicable solution before referring the matter to the competent courts located in Ajaccio.
